This site does not provide information regarding all members of the Tolpin family. It captures the history of one branch of that tree.

As more members of the family add content and pictures, we will update this site with new information to preserve our history for generations to come.

The history of our family starts in the small shtetl of Slavuta in Ukraine. That's where I was born, along with all my cousins of my generation and our parents. Our grandparents were born in Ostrog.

Grandpa Joseph Tolpin was a short, gentle man who always defended his grandchildren, who could not do anything wrong in his eyes.

Things we remember about Grandpa Joseph:

• Worked all his life as a house painter
• Went to temple every Shabbat
• Loved to have family members around
